The rose is one of the archetypal
symbols of Love. Wily as worldly love is, Love of the poetic ideal
is unending. I wanted to take the realistic photo of a rose beyond
it's frozen moment, beyond that particular time in its growth, that
singular phase of it's cycle, as all life, caught in the delineation,
be it bud, blossom or dying. Beyond fleeting and ephemeral, like
our time here on earth, catching our stutter and trying to pose
in the ever changing wind. Beyond attempting perfection, which if
reached at all, receeds back into imperfection when the petal curls
under the relentless wait of time.
